About HollandCruiser

Are you planning your vacation to the Netherlands? Or are you already here? And you want to make the most of it? See all the beauties in a couple of days and travel yourself guided around. The best way to discover a combination of heritage, old cultures, adventure, incredible nature and history is a HollandCruiser tour!

There are many possibilities to travel through the Netherlands. By train, bus or bike. With a little time and a low budget it will be hard to see the things you want to see in just a few days. Than you can go on a hop-on hop-off tour bus, packed with other tourists to stop on places which are not on your interest-list.
It would be better if you could drive yourself around. In a luxury car, listen to the music on the radio that you want. Control the temperature inside. Stop on the places that are really interesting. Have a break when you want to. With your friends. But you don’t have a car? We have! The cars that we arrange are fully equipped, and fit little groups from 1 till 8 persons. There is no special drivers licence requested.
Do you know the best places in the Netherlands? Do you think the van Gogh museum and the Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam are the best? They are good, but if you want to discover the real treasures of the Netherlands you have to get out of Amsterdam. We know the best places, and have collected them in a road book.

The road book is your personal guide during your tour. It presents the route, and day to day tips about what to visit. What about national park Veluwe, heritage windmill park Kinderdijk or the lakes in Frysia? Or are you a city hopper and interested in museums, architecture, food and drinks in for example Utrecht, Maastricht or Eindhoven? Maybe more interested in amusement parks like rollercoaster park Walibi World, nautical park Dolfinarium or miniature park Madurodam? The road book presents so many tips to fill in your days that you will never have enough time to see it all.
We connect your days with prebooked nights in luxury hostels or bed and breakfasts, just what you prefer. The hostels are located on typical locations through the country like in a sailing boats harbour, in the dunes, in an old fort or in a forest. Bed and breakfasts are at the finest families and present the best Dutch traditions.

Off course you can also fill in the contactform, so that we contact you. After your request we send you an email or call you to confirm your booking. That is it, you can start your tour!

How do I know what to do on a route?

When you start your tour we hand you the roadbook, which is your personal guide during the tour. The book gives you day to day information about the route.

You are free to fill in your days, but the roadbook hands you many tips for the best activities. The tips are clearly presented day to day with a description, an example picture, opening hours and adress. Pick one or more interesting visiting places, rank them along the route and use the navigation system in the car to get there.

The worthwile cities mentioned in the roadbook are easy to reach by car. The roadbook hands you tips to visit the best museums, buildings, restaurants or bars. Every larger city has a tourist information centre, named VVV. Go there for brochures, information or extra tips.

Which route fits the current season best?

All the routes are good to drive during the year. During the summer season which approximately streches from May till September most of the amusement parks are open. During these months many towns and villages have fairs, music and theater festivals and all sorts of markets. Sunset during the summer months will be late in the evening, and there is a lot street life.

During the winter months there are more indoor activities like museums, christmas markets and winter festivals. People live more indoors, but going outside will be great to discover the beautiful nature. Visit colorfull forests, refresh at the beach during a windy day in autumn, or just cruise around in the polders and check out lovely little villages.

How do we know how to drive?

The cars are all equiped with an easy to use navigation system. On the first pages is a decription about how the system works. Delivered systems may differ in model, the use is usually the same. Easy in use and comfortable during the tour

The roadbook provides you all the information about the route. There is a decription of the route, with things to do around the overnight stays like restaurants and bars for the evening hours.

The day to day things to do tipped in the roadbook are mentiond with a navigation address. Type the address in and the system will guide you to the front door of your choosen activity!

What type of car do we get?

There is no possiblity to choose any car. We do that depening the size of the group of travellers. Cars can vary in size suitable for 1 untill 8 person groups. The cars are all comforable for any group size, and big enough for the number of people plus luggage. To make the most out of your tour we only deliver luxury new cars, fully equiped with music, air condition, ABS and airbags. For a safe and comfortable journey.

Do I have to arrange my own meals?

Meals are not included in the routes. In most hostels breakfast is included. Dinner has to be arranged by yourself. Everywhere are restaurants or diners. It is up to you to choose for a fancy expensive dine-out, or find yourself a cheaper restaurant. Almost every village has one or more snack bars, a typical Dutch diner. The larger villages have Mc Donald’s, Burger King or KFC. Look in the routemaps or just ask around by the locals, they know best!

How about the insurance?

Our cars are insured for damages made by other people. Damages on the car done by travellers can not be declined at the insurance company, so will be declined by the traveller. It is also smart to have a travellers insurance.

What happens by offences for speeding?

Every driver has to take care about the traffic rules. The maximum speed is given on road signs on every road. Offences can result in a fine,   that will be charged by the hirer, and subscribed from the hirers credit card that has to be shown at the start of your tour.
